The Daily Green’s 30 Ways to Get Your Kids to Play Outside
October 12, 2009 in Green Tips
The Daily Green is a great website that offers green tips, reviews, recipes and more for anyone interested in the green movement. It’s definitely one of my favorite green websites because it touches on every aspect of living an eco lifestyle, and gives different perspectives on how to live sustainably and responsibly.

The website recently did a great post on how to get your kids to play outside, which is very important if you want them to learn about and respect their natural surroundings. The post was from the National Wildlife Federation’s Be Out There Campaign, which engages families, educators, businesses and the media to encourage children to spend more time outdoors.

Here are a few of my favorite tips from the post that are great ways to get your kids to play outside:
- Host a backyard campout
- Go on a photo safari
- Stop to smell, plant and press the flowers
- Take a night hike
- Paint with berries
- Go climb a tree
These are just a few of the 30 ways that the Daily Green teaches parents to get their kids to play outside.
You can see the entire list here.
Hopefully these tips have inspired you to be a greener parent to your children and to enjoy the outdoors with them!
